June 16th - Casting Emails & Rehearsal Schedules Sent! Make sure you have

July 1st - Accept your Nutcracker roles by July 1st! Roles can be accepted by paying the flat

rehearsal fee on our website & signing the contract.

August 8th - Fall Rehearsals Begin on Friday evenings not every dance rehearses every week - refer to the fees sheet for number of practices for each dance & full schedule will be released with casting later this month.

August 8th - Full Cast Nutcracker Movie & Popcorn Night 6pm at the Studio
Come watch a showing of the Nutcracker with us & eat popcorn! Bring a pillow/blanket to get comfy, meet the cast and have fun!!

August 29th - No Rehearsal for Labor Day Weekend
September 27th - Costume Day at the studio! Come try on your beautiful costume & get fitted

for alterations!

October 4th - Costume Make-Up day at the studio. Any dancers who could not come to the Costume Day on 9/27 come now to get fitted.

October 31st - No rehearsal for Halloween! Have fun!!
November 28th - No rehearsal for Thanksgiving! Have fun with family November 7, 14, 21st - Mandatory Full Runs of the Show require the whole cast! December 5-7 & 12-14 - Keep open for dress rehearsals and performances!

FDA Nutcracker 2025 Time Commitments and Fees

General Fees:

Fall Rehearsal Flat Fee: $200 full cast; $120 Gingerbread dancers only paid once per dancer regardless of number of roles
Costume Rental Fee: $45 per costume/role
Choreography/Intensive Fees: Choreography fees are based upon the practices required for dancers to learn each dance as well as the number of dancers in the dance and vary per dance; several intricate and large dances require a summer intensive. Ballet Class Tuition: each dancer is required to be enrolled in one ballet class during our Fall semester at $70/month.

ACT 1 GROUP DANCES

Mice/Soldiers & Battle Scene Summer Intensive/Choreography Fee: $55 per dancer

-  August 12-14 9am-12pm Summer Intensive

-  Rehearsals on Friday evenings in the Fall alternating weeks

Party Scene Adults/Kids Choreography Fee: $25 per dancer

- Rehearsals on Friday evenings in the Fall

Waltz of the Snowflakes Intensive/Choreography Fee: $65 per dancer

-  August 5-7 10am-1pm Summer Intensive

-  Rehearsals on Friday evenings in the Fall

ACT 2 GROUP DANCES
Chinese Tea Choreography Fee: $25 per dancer

- Rehearsals on Friday evenings during the Fall alternating weeks; 3 full runs & dress rehearsal Russian Candycane Choreography Fee: $25 per dancer

- Rehearsals on Friday evenings during the Fall alternating weeks; 3 full runs & dress rehearsal Gingerbread Dancers Choreography Fee: $25 per dancer

- Rehearsals begin 9/26 to include 5 weeks of rehearsal, 3 full runs & dress rehearsal

Waltz of the Flowers Intensive/Choreography Fee: $65 per dancer

-  July 15-17 11am-2:00pm Summer Intensive

Spanish Hot Chocolate Choreography Fee: $100 per dancer

Marzipan Choreography Fee: $65 per dancer - Rehearsals on Friday Evenings in the Fall

Sugar Plum Pas de Deux with Nutcracker/Clara Choreography Fee: $120 per dancer - Rehearsals begin on Friday Evenings in the Fall

Introduction/Finale dances: fees included in the one time flat rehearsal fee - Rehearsals begin on Friday Evenings in the Fall

SOLOS/DUETS these specialty dances require practices scheduled directly with the choreographer outside of regular rehearsal time in July and August, will also include rehearsal time during Friday evenings in the Fall

Sugar Plum Fairy: Solo (5 45-minute sessions – $310)

Clara: Solo (3 45-minute practices scheduled outside of rehearsal — $235)

Dew Drop Fairy: Solo (3 45-minute practices scheduled outside of rehearsal– $235)
- Must be completed prior to the Waltz of the Flowers Summer Intensive July 15-17

Arabian Solo (5 45-minute rehearsals – $310)

Wind Up Toy #1 (3 45-minute practices — $235)

Wind Up Toy #2 (3 45-minute practices– $235)

Wind Up Toy #3 (3 45-minute practices– $235)

Drosselmeyer Solo (3 45-minute practices — $235)

Nutcracker/Mouse Queen Duet- (5 45-minute practices— $155 per dancer) - Must be completed before August 12th

Nutcracker Solo- (3 45-minute practices— $235)

Snow Queen Solo: (3 45-minute practices— $235)
- Must be completed before the Summer Intensive August 5-7

Clara/Nutcracker Duet- (6 45-minute practices— $180 per dancer) Clara/Drosselmeyer Duet (3 45-minute practices —$235)
Maids (3 45-minute practices –$235 split between those cast)

Nutcracker will be schedule for either the first or second weekend of December.
