Protege Company Audition

2026–2027 Season

Ages 4–7

The Protege Company is designed for young dancers who are ready to begin training in a focused and competitive environment. This program serves as a direct training pathway into the FDA Company program and is intended for dancers who are eager to grow, work hard, and develop strong technical foundations at an early age.

Protege dancers will train approximately 7 hours per week in a structured schedule designed to build strong technique, performance skills, and versatility across multiple dance styles.

Throughout the season, Protege dancers will participate in competitions and conventions (such as Jump, Revive, Radix etc) , gaining valuable experience learning from industry professionals while developing the discipline and expectations required for higher-level training.

Audition Details

Dancers will participate in a warm-up and learn choreography that they will perform for the instructors.

Location: Gray Studio

Audition Attire

• All black dancewear

• Hair in a low bun

Please plan to arrive 15 minutes early to check in before the audition begins.

Solo Recommendation

We strongly recommend that all Protege dancers perform a solo during the competition season, as it helps build performance confidence and prepares dancers for future Company training.
